It’s that time of year again, the time to reflect on last year as it comes to a close, and look forward to a new year and a fresh start in 2014.
I thought it would be fitting to share some of my goal setting tips with you, so I hope you find them helpful! We are all super busy with the holidays upon us, so thank you for taking the time to read this – I will keep it short and sweet, promise! π
Tip #1: Set a maximum of three goals. It is difficult to focus on achieving your goals if you have too many of them in various directions, so play it safe and strive for just three goals at the most.
Tip #2:Β Once you set have your goals, create an action plan on how to get there. If it is a financial goal, break it down into monthly goals, or even weekly goals. Likewise, weight loss can be broken down into an achievable number of pounds or inches lost in a month’s time.
Tip #3:Β Don’t give up! These goals are for the whole year right? So when you get a bump in the road, don’t give up and throw in the towel. So many people quit by February just because they hit a stumbling block or got frustrated. Stay the course, and follow your action plan for the full year to ensure your success!
Have some goals you want to share? Or maybe you need help with an action plan on how to get there? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
I highly recommend you must read the eBook on what you need to have for starting a business in Tampa, I believe you’ll get a lot out of it. If you haven’t claimed yours,Β go and grab it now for free! See you inside – I can’t wait to start working with you! We’re better together!
Goal setting is in my immediate future :-). Great tips! Thank you for sharing Holly Jean!!

Good tip. 3 goals only is a good idea, I always make the mistake to have too many and I get overwhelmed.
I will write myself a poster 3 goals only, focus on them and be persistent. Not give up until they are achieved.
The poster idea can give you a great visual! I hang mine in my office so I can see it every day! Thanks Marita, and good luck!
AGree, agree, agree! 3 goals is a healthy amount to achieve. Personally I like the smaller ones that big on to create the biggy! great job! P

Great easy tips! Do a general plan for the year, and then ASAP focus on the first quarter with details. That isn’t too much to handle.
I believe that writing down goals is one of the most powerful things anyone can do to meet their goals.
Great tips! One thing I do is have too many goals. Now I know to narrow it down and be focused.
Can’t count how many times I’ve created too many goals to accomplish in the time I’ve allotted. Great tips.
Yes, it’s so important to write your goals down. You have to know where you are going, if you are ever going to get there!
Only 3??? I may need to divide them into 3 per quarter. π
